Ceres IT is a subsidiary of Boplaas Estate, established in 1743 near Ceres in the Western Cape region of South Africa. The estate grows quality export fruit, has state-of-the-art fruit packing facilities, and owns a number of other subsidiary business entities.
Coming from a farming base, Ceres IT was initially geared to provide IT services to the agriculture industry. This was due to the need for tailored IT services provided by service providers who understand the nature and requirements of this market. As the business grew and the demand for its services increased, the company widened its market portfolio and expanded into the small-to-medium general business and industrial sectors.
Being an extension of, and already providing an in-house IT service to an existing and successful family business, it comes naturally for the Ceres IT team to also understand the nature of business of their other customers, and to provide in their IT needs.

The company, especially, reflects the ethos of an unbroken lineage of ten generations of farmers and entrepreneurs who built and contributed towards what Boplaas Estate is today.
